Current Role

Ryan provides tax planning, consulting and compliance services to his clients, including individuals, passthrough entities, and corporations in a variety of industries. Many of his clients have operations in multiple states, so he regularly advises clients on state and local tax matters.

A member of the firm’s tax mergers & acquisitions team, Ryan assists clients and their attorneys during the process of selling or acquiring a business by providing clarity on the tax and cash flow impacts and helping to negotiate the best possible deal.

Experience

Ryan joined Rehmann in July 2014, after completing two internships with the firm. He has extensive experience preparing and reviewing federal and state tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships, and corporations. He has provided consultation to his clients on a variety of tax matters.

Previously a member of the firm’s 2017 tax reform implementation team, Ryan helped develop firmwide resources to ensure clients understood and complied with the provisions of the 2017 Tax Cuts & Jobs Act (TCJA).  He has continued to be a resource on subsequent changes to the tax code.

  • Ryan has presented on numerous technical tax topics, including tangible property regulations, cost segregation studies and tax reform throughout the firm and at local banks and law firms.
