Current Role

Matt serves as a trusted business advisor, specializing in full service accounting, tax, and consulting services for businesses of all sizes. In addition to minimizing tax exposure, Matt is a natural connector and devoted to seeing his clients achieve their goals.

With a concentration on serving medical and dental practices, Matt is a member of Rehmann’s healthcare leadership group. This focus includes practice formation, transition and operating data analytics.

Experience

Matt began his public accounting career in 2009. Prior to Matt’s current role, he worked with Fortin & Associates as a senior manager and with Rehmann as an intern. He has also completed volunteer work within the accounting department of Family Futures.

A Closer Look

  • Matt is a team-player who enjoys mentoring associates and leading by example through involvement in firm-wide training seminars, staff development and recruiting events.
  • When Matt is not spending time with his wife and two children, he is actively involved in the community through for Corinth Reformed Church, where he has also served as Deacon and Treasurer.
  • Matt stays up to date on issues impacting his client base through active participation in organizations such as Medical Group Management Association, National Society of Certified Healthcare Business Consultants, West Michigan District Dental Society, Michigan Dental Association, among others where he has been a featured speaker.
