Current Role

Leith’s role consists of providing and overseeing assurance engagements, maintaining client relations, and developing and training associates in a way that drives technical, relationship building, and critical thinking skills.

Leith is a member of Rehmann’s IDEA Champions committee, charged with the responsibility in leading the team alongside other associates and developing and facilitating firm-wide training materials.

As a member of the commercial audit group, Leith assists in developing firm-wide best practices and guidelines, as well as developing and maintaining ongoing training efforts within our commercial audit department.

Experience

Leith joined Rehmann’s audit and assurance department in 2012, when he began his career in public accounting. Since the start of his career Leith has experience in providing a variety of assurance services to small to medium-sized private and publicly held entities, performing financial statement audits, employee benefit plan audits, and reviews, within the commercial for-profit and not-for-profit areas. Leith has worked on various international assurance engagements which included clients in Canada, India and Germany. Leith is involved in firm-sponsored training programs to keep up with financial reporting, auditing and industry-specific developments.

A closer look

  • Since 2015, Leith has served as an accounting advisory committee member for Dearborn Public Schools, where he works with faculty, helping them to understand various present expectations within the accounting profession. Faculty uses the information to develop a more relevant curriculum for students.
  • Leith was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of American Southeast Michigan Synod finance committee from 2016 through 2018, when it was dissolved.

From 2008 through 2018, Leith was a member of the multicultural advisory committee at Mother of the Savior Church.
