Current Role

Focused on the IT risk and compliance landscape, Don serves as a trusted advisor and provides value-add risk and compliance advisory solutions, with a focus on quality, integrity, ethics, and continuous improvement.

Don uses his strong leadership skills to assess, design, and implement audit strategies, while mobilizing process transformation and leveraging automation technologies. He is also skilled in Agile project management and understanding compliance within Agile development methodology.

Additionally, Don is often called on as a subject matter expert in performing risk assessments, all domains of IT internal controls, and IT impact to financial reporting.

Experience

Don joined Rehmann in 2023 after gaining significant experience leading global engagements from both internal and external perspectives. His past experiences include providing professional business and IT risk and compliance services to Fortune 100/500 companies. He also has leadership experience in the manufacturing industry.

Don’s IT system audit experience includes a wide range of solutions such as SAP (S/4HANA, ECC, GRC), Workday, HFM, SailPoint, Azure DevOps, Workiva, Salesforce, Ariba, Fieldglass, Blackline, ServiceNow, cloud-based SaaS/PaaS solutions, and custom-built solutions.

  • Don is a member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
  • Don is a proud member and tribal citizen of the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians and continued champion of diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, both within the community and at work.
  • Dedicated to youth education, Don has previously served in various board roles with the following organizations: A2IDEAS, Ann Arbor PTO Council, and A2STEAM PTO. He is also an active member of AAPS Superintendent’s Blue Ribbon Advisory Committee, Citizen’s Millage Campaign, and Ann Arbor Cross Country Kids.
