D. Brian Waite, CPA

Current Role

Brian plans, performs and manages audits, reviews and other attest engagements for clients in various industries including manufacturing, distribution and not-for-profit. He is frequently on-site with the engagement team, discussing progress with clients and leveraging his experience with similar engagements to identify and quickly resolve accounting issues, which helps ensure each engagement is completed on time and meets the stated objectives.

Brian is a member of Rehmann’s technology, effectiveness and efficiencies committee, which leverages the use of current and emerging technology on assurance engagements to perform more effective and efficient audits. He is also enrolled in Rehmann’s 2018-2019 Emerging Leadership training program.

Experience

Brian joined Rehmann’s audit and assurance department in 2017, after working as an assurance manager at a California-based firm. Brian started his career in public accounting in 2006 and has more than 10 years of experience providing a variety assurance services to small to medium-sized private and publicly-held entities. In addition to working with nationally recognized manufacturers and distributors, Brian has worked on various international assurance engagements which included clients in Canada, Taiwan and Japan.

• Actively involved in his community, Brian graduated from the 2017-2018 Leadership A2Y program through the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti Regional Chamber.
