Current Role

Chuck acts as a state and local tax advisor to clients across all industries. He helps clients in assessing risk and dealing with audits and assessments. He also works collaboratively with his clients to develop creative solutions to minimize state tax burden going forward and identify refund opportunities to bring in cash on a current basis.

In addition, as a member of the firm’s State and Local Tax group, Chuck not only serves clients directly, but also acts as an internal resource, providing technical assistance and expertise to his Rehmann colleagues.

Experience

Prior to joining Rehmann in 2021, Chuck worked over 25 years in public accounting. He began his career at Coopers & Lybrand in 1989, then moved to Arthur Andersen in 1994 and left as a senior manager to join Deloitte’s multistate tax practice in 2002.

• As an active member of the Michigan Chamber of Commerce Tax Policy Committee, Chuck is on the front lines of proposed and newly enacted tax Michigan legislation and Treasury guidance
• Chuck is also member of the State Bar of Michigan, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan Association of CPAs.
