Julie leads financial statement audit and review engagements, and audits of private company employee benefit plans. She also provides technical research and implementation guidance on complex accounting standards under various accounting frameworks, including U.S. GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and communicates results and deliverables to owners, management, and board members.

Experience

Julie has more than 25 years of public accounting experience serving privately-held manufacturing, distribution, third-party logistics, and professional service firm clients. She has worked extensively with family, individual, and private equity-owned entrepreneurial businesses in the U.S. and internationally.

Julie also worked as a controller in a small business during her career giving her a unique perspective on the challenges businesses face preparing for their audits while continuing to manage their day-to-day responsibilities.

A Closer Look

• Dedicated to her continuing education, Julie obtained her IFRS Certificate from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and has participated in the PKF North America Executive Leadership Training.
• Julie is an active member of the AICPA, Vice Chair of the Private Companies Practice Section Technical Issues Committee and has been a speaker at the AICPA Engage conference.
• Julie is also a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants and Chair of the Audit Committee, as well as a speaker at MICPA conferences on various accounting topics.
