Melissa Johnson, CPA

Current Role

Melissa works closely with business advisors and client management from the planning stage to completion in order to determine deadlines for deliverables, plan fieldwork, supervise staff and ensure each engagement meets the stated objectives. She leverages her experience with similar client engagements to quickly identify and resolve issues. Melissa leads the closely held assurance group and co-chairs the firm-wide manufacturing niche group as well as a member of the assurance quality control team.

Experience

Melissa’s public accounting career began when she joined Rehmann in 2011. Her experience includes 13 years as an operations manager for a large national retail company. Throughout that time, she assisted with regional trainings and worked with other managers to oversee a range of financial and human resource services, including sales forecasting, labor management, inventory controls, and employee performance reviews and retention.
