CURRENT ROLE 

Capitalizing on his extensive background gained over 24 years in both the public and private sectors, Matt focuses on assurance and financial reporting services, internal control and operational design, strategic planning design and execution, and high-level outsourced financial consulting. Matt’s priority is to be a true business advisor by going beyond traditional engagement delivery to provide proactive services and advice that impacts the profitability and efficiency of his clients’ bottom-line.

EXPERIENCE 

Prior to joining Rehmann in 2018, Matt held multiple CFO and COO roles with the Florida State University Athletics Department for 14 years, developing an intricate and unique understanding of this niche. His leadership played a critical role in positioning the Seminoles to pursue Comprehensive Excellence in all facets, from on the fields of competition to the financial and business assets of the program.  

Matt’s first eight years of his career were spent in public accounting gaining audit and financial reporting experience with commercial entities, governments, not-for-profits, higher education and construction manufacturing entities with the firm Thomas Howell Ferguson P.A. (formerly Ernst & Young LLP) in Tallahassee, Florida.
